SAFE AND SECURE
MEDICATION -
WHERE YOU ARE

Mobili_render_webpage.2.png

The Mobili e-dosett sets a new standard for medication management. The solution is based on many years of experience from the Norwegian healthcare system and facilitates safe and efficient logistics for both the healthcare system, relatives and patients. Mobili is the first and only medicine dispenser that has been developed, manufactured and tested in Norway.

The vision

Mobili_render_webpage.9.png

Our vision is to increase patient safety and quality of life for those who need medication. We will do this by offering safe and secure medication - where you are!

We want to gather the industry and users around a common digital solution where the end users, relatives, the health care services and the industry work more closely together.

Our products are developed with the user in focus. Welfare technology does not have to be stigmatizing or difficult. Nor should it be something that is limited to a public health service. With long experience, carefully thought out products and good design, we will set a new standard for this product category.

What makes Mobili unique?

The Mobili™ e-dosett is an intelligent and simple solution. It is a smart dispenser that takes patient safety to a new level by giving the right medicine, in the right dose, at the right time, to the right patient. The unique RFID system ensures that patients receive the correct cassette, every time.

The cassettes have a closed system that prevents unintended use and cross-contamination of medicines, and can be pre-filled and handled by health personnel in pharmacies, nursing homes or hospitals, but also by relatives who are in contact with the health care service.

Mobili™ is intuitive and designed for complex and demanding logistics operations, and has integrations with the public healthcare system. Workflow and safety are quality assured in the medicine room. Different levels of double control and PRN-medication are also taken care of.

Mobili™ dispenses medicines based on a medicine plan determined by the doctor's last prescription. The entire solution is controlled from MedThings' cloud solution, managed from a PC or a mobile phone. All dispensers are connected to the 4G network so that plans can be changed and updates pushed. If the patient forgets to take the medication, a message is sent to the care giver.

One dispenser through life

Medication is unfortunately a central part of life for many people in different life situations. Mobili is therefore designed to be used by people in different age groups and with different disabilities. Universal design and gathering user experiences have been central to the development.

Pilot experience Bergen

Mobili is easy to use. The filling itself provides good quality in terms of ensuring that the right medicine is placed in the right chamber and it allows for good and efficient double control. It also has space for large tablets/capsules.

Mobili is small and easy to take with you. The screen provides good instructions and it's intuitive and easy to press the button that releases the medication.

The staff give feedback that cassette change is easy to do, as the machine tells you what to do. The cassette cannot be fitted incorrectly. The cassette can be changed by assistants.

We believe that Mobili will also be well suited for relatives who need to prepare medication and where a regular "dosett" is no longer suitable/works.

Technical challenges that arose during the pilot were quickly rectified by the developer.

Our most important contribution is how we positively influence the course of treatment with medication. Taking medicine correctly is very crucial for the effect the medicine has. Medicines are an important part of why we live longer and have better health. Sick non-functioning patients can become functioning in society again if they take their medication correctly.

MedThings keeps it's production in Norway, and we develop our products especially with efficient production processes available in the country.

Our cassettes are designed to be recycled so that we can handle the plastic as part of our own circular economy. We work to produce new products, with recycled cassettes. We are also taking several measures to be able to digitize and make this recycling process more efficient.

MedThings also helps to motivate pupils and students by actively contributing as part of the teaching, in the form of giving exciting tasks and lectures at everything from secondary school to university. We have had many master's theses and doctoral work carried out as part of our development.
